There is just something special about BMW's that get the senses titillating just at the mention of the brand. These Bavarian machines have been known as brilliant driver cars over the ages and even today that gene resides strong in the DNA of each model. Having said that, there are some specific models that do more than just show off the DNA, but actually bring it to the fore and doing just that is the latest edition to the 3 Series range in India, the new king of the hill, the BMW 330i.

The 3 Series sedan has always been a good looker. Even in its present avatar, the entry level BMW sedan possesses a stance that is taunt, sporty and chiseled to perfection. Adding to the sculpted sheet metal is the famous kidney grill flanked by those oh-so-awesome headlights that cannot be mistaken for anything but BMW and rounding off the entire exterior package on the 330i are the unmistakable 17 inch rims shod with low profile rubber. Even at standstill the 330i has a poise that points towards one fine fact and that is performance.

With the BMW 330i, the story is all about the engine. By ushering in the 2996cc, 6 cylinder engine that churns out over 255 BHP @6600rpm and makes 300Nm of torque between 2500-4000 rpm, BMW has taken the 3 Series sedan into sportscar territory. Mated to a six speed steptronic gearbox, the car also features paddle shifts on the steering to add to the entire driving excitement.
