From a distance, it may look like its MAZDA3 siblings, with its five-point grille and sleek lines, but one minute behind the wheel will prove otherwise.

For 2010, the MAZDASPEED3 blends the five-door functionality of the all-new MAZDA3 5-Door with bolder, more aggressive styling and exhilarating performance to meet the needs of driving enthusiasts with active lifestyles. Carrying forward the award-winning MZR 2.3-liter DISI Turbo engine, the new MAZDASPEED3 builds on the legendary performance of the original while adding a fresh new look and even better handling.

The photo shown is Mazda Atenza Mazdaspeed Concept which will be featured in the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon, to be held at the Makuhari Messe in January 2008.

My comments

In Malaysia its hard to see the Atenza on the road as Atenza is for Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) and for the rest of the world it also known as Mazda 6.

The modification made to this concept car at least for its exterior is almost perfect for me, with a nice big wheel, this car looks great. I dont have the details on the interior or the preformance but I think there is somehthing under its hood, and Its bigger than the normal ones :)

Wait for official release by Mazdaspeed soon.

The Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE has a rotary engine with a dual-fuel system that allows the driver to select either gasoline or hydrogen fuel with the flick of a switch.

JARI is working with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)*2 on the Establishment of Codes & Standards for a Hydrogen Economy Society project. The RX-8 Hydrogen RE will be used as part of its R&D activities to review the regulations regarding the safety of hydrogen vehicles, establish examination and evaluation techniques and create proposals for international standards. From February 19 through 23, 2007, Mazda collaborated with the MLIT’s Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau (HRDB) to conduct cold weather testing of the RX-8 Hydrogen RE in Muroran city, Hokkaido Prefecture. The vehicle delivered to JARI is the seventh RX-8 Hydrogen RE that Mazda has supplied.
