Comes with cool lap timer

A mention of any car with the word ‘sport’ will give you the impression that it would be fast car, one which will be aggressive and all that. And that is what the new 2010 Renault Megane Renautlsport 250 is all about. Revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show recently, this car now comes with a new high-tech lap timer which is specifically meant for those of you who wants to know how fast you are going. The lap timer gives you information about your performance in real time and indicates how fast you are going including your lap times and your zero to hundred as well. Apart from that, it also allows you to adjust the mapping of the throttle and a gear change indicator. All this information would be essential since you will be behind the wheels of the new Megaensport powered by its new 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, this car gets you up to 247 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. This would be a front wheel drive model matted with a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox.

The previous version which was launched with much fanfare and high expectations did poorly. When launched, the R26R model was expected to sell 230 units but only managed about 159 but even if that is so, Renault who believe that it was due to the economic crisis which hit the global market now gives that version a new look. The engine is the same but its power has been upgraded while the new Megane Renaultsport 250 is designed based on the 3 door Megane hatchback.

It now comes with new insides where you get a new yellow based typeface on the meters, leather steering wheel and alloy pedals. The car will go into production and comes in 2 models namely the Cup and the Sport model which goes by its flagship name the Renaultsport 250. Where this is concerned, the Cup comes with lower suspension set up and harder springs while the Sport version gets you nicer leather upholstery, adjustable seats and such. Of course, the car gets you from zero to hundred in 6.1 seconds and top speeds at 156miles per hour, you will appreciate its more curvy designs which are all mapped out to create better aerodynamics.
