When it arrives in the third quarter, the Thai-made Fiesta will be available as a 5-door hatchback and 4-door sedan, in three variant forms. There'll be a high-spec 1.6l hatch and mid-line 1.6l sedan, which will both be equipped with a dual-clutch, six-speed PowerShift gearbox, with tentative pricing at RM85k and RM80k respectively. The entry-level hatch will be a 1.4l version, with a five-speed auto gearbox, and indicative pricing is around the RM73k mark.
Features on the 120bhp 1.6l sedan and top-of-the-range hatch will include ABS and EBD and two airbags (though we hear the sedan will only get one, rather strangely), and other modcons include USB and Bluetooth connectivity and iPod compatibility across the board, cap-less refueling and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Sedan's not on show, but find out more about it this weekend ...
Seven colours will be available for the high-end hatch, with Chilli Orange being the signature colour. As for the sedan and entry-level 1.4l hatch, they get four colour options. No, the sedan's not on show, but you can find out more about the car from the Ford sales reps who'll be about, so head on over to 1U this weekend.
