BMW Group Malaysia today announced the addition of the new 730Li and Individual 760Li to the lineup of its F01 7 Series range in the country at a press preview in Kuala Lumpur.

Though it's the entry-level offering - if you can call it that - in the series, the 730Li is definitely not lacking in equipment kit, performance and features. There's plenty on call here, starting with the N52B3002 3.0l straight-six offers 258bhp at 6,600rpm and 310Nm of torque at 2,600rpm. Partnered to a 6HP19TU six-speed gearbox, it's enough to propel the 1.9 ton vehicle to 0-100kmh in 7.8secs and a top speed of 245kmh.

Frugal enough it is too, with the company claiming that it offers the best in its class efficiency with an average fuel consumption of 9.8l per 100km and a C02 emission level of 229gm per km, making it the most efficient petrol engine model in its segment.

Inside, among the many fine things you'll find in the cabin is a premium quality rear-seat entertainment system, with two 8-inch colour monitors mounted into the rear of each front seat, allowing rear seat passengers the option to watch DVD’s or listen to music independently. AUX-In input ports further enable connection to MP3 players, game consoles and other devices, giving the occupants complete versatility when it comes to entertainment.

As for the range-topping BMW Individual 760Li, this one gets the works. The all-aluminium N74B60U0 6.0l V12 twin-turbo engine generates 544bhp at 5,250rpm and 750Nm of torque at 1,500-5,000rpm, lending the vehicle - which is equipped with a ZF 8HP90 eight-speed transmission - a 0-100kmh sprint time of 4.6secs and a speed-limited top speed of 250kmh.

As befits the Individual moniker, this 760Li gets the attendant individualised exterior and interior finishes that comes with the tag, allowing the buyer the opportunity to personalise the vehicle beyond standard fitment; there's a host of unique choices, from paint finishes, leather upholstery, interior trimmings and technical functionality to select alloy wheels.

The retail price for the new 730Li is RM648,800, while the BMW Individual 760Li goes for RM1,388,800, both on the road, without insurance, with BMW Service Inclusive + Repair.
