Lexus Malaysia has begun selling the IS 250C in Malaysia. The retractable hardtop convertible utilises the same 205bhp 2.5l V6 block and six-speed automatic transmission as found on the IS 250, but obviously has much more bling about it with its ability to go topless.

The three-piece hardtop folds down in just 21 seconds, and is constructed primarily of lightweight aluminium. Elsewhere, the exterior of the four-seater features a different front bumper and fog lamp than the sedan's, and the car comes with a special LED tail lamp which emphasises width as well as a rear ducktail spoiler. Oh, and unique multi-layered, 10-spoke 17-inch wheels, to help differentiate it further.

Apart from the standard colours available for the IS range, there are three exclusive colours offered for the IS 250C - Blue Metallic, Silvery Blue Metallic and Cattleya Mica Metallic.

The IS 250C, which goes for a mere RM432,000 on the road, without insurance, is available at both the Lexus Center in Mutiara Damansara and the recently opened Lexus Penang.
