Ford Motor Company and its local authorised distributor, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion, have introduced an industry leading Extended Service Plan (ESP) premium maintenance coverage scheme on its new Focus, Mondeo and Escape models.

Ford is the first automaker in Malaysia to offer such an plan, which began on Apr 1. Effectively, ESP complements the existing factory warranty period of three years or 100,000km with a series of services that cover the first three years or 60,000km, whichever comes first.

The ESP covers – at no charge to the customer – regular checkups, routine inspections, preventative care and replacement of normal “wear and tear” items. In addition, the premium maintenance coverage includes engine oil and filter changes, multi-point inspections, replacement of brake pads and linings when worn, shock absorber replacements as well as spark plugs, engine belts and hoses, clutch discs and wiper blades. Sounds sweet, the deal, yes?
